In Kenya, a petition for the release of opponent Kizza Besigye was transmitted to the Parliament and the Uganda Embassy this Monday, February 24. Dozens of people demonstrated in Nairobi, at the call of several civil society organizations such as Amnesty International. Kizza Besigye was kidnapped in Nairobi on November 16, before reappearing, a few days later, before a military court in Uganda. The demonstrators came to denounce these political kidnappings which multiply in Kenya.
