Many Hollywood filmmakers and actors took time out over the weekend to share memories of Lance Reddick. The actor known from The Wire, Fringe – Border Cases of the FBI and Bosch, among others, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the age of 60.
Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski are also among them. Although Reddick was a big name, especially in the series landscape, he has become an important part of the John Wick family in recent years. In the action series, he played the role of Charon, the concierge at the Continental Hotel in New York.

John Wick: Chapter 4 hits theaters this week. In a statement to Variety, Reeves and Stahelski remembered their friend and colleague. In addition, they announce that the sequel is dedicated to Reddick.
We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick. He was the consummate professional and a pleasure to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family and friends. We dedicate the film to his loving memory. We will miss him very much.

It won’t be the last time we see Reddick in the John Wick universe. As Deadline summarizes in an overview, we can expect a few more films and series with the actor in the coming months that have already been shot. This includes the John Wick offshoot Ballerina with Ana de Armas.
Reddick’s character will make a brief stint in the spin-off along with many familiar faces from the franchise. In addition to Reeves, Ian McShane and Anjelica Huston are also returning.
John Wick: Chapter 4 starts on March 23, 2023 in German cinemas.
