KD on the bottom listing: “Incredibly tough starting position”

In SCB’s party sympathy survey from May 2024, the Christian Democrats receive 2.8 percent of the vote when people are asked which party they would vote for if there were parliamentary elections today.

It is the party’s worst ever listing in a SCB survey and they fall below the parliamentary threshold of 4 percent.

KD would rather highlight the EU election results

KD’s party secretary, Liza-Maria Norlin, believes that the initial situation for the party in May was “incredibly tough”, and highlights the EU election result of 5.7 percent as an example of their strengthening in public opinion.

– We saw this rise above all at the end of May and the beginning of June. When we were out and had to talk about policy, then something also happened in public opinion, she tells SVT’s reporter in the Riksdag.

The Liberals: Hoped for better results

The Liberals also end up with 3.2 percent below the Riksdag threshold in Statistics Norway’s survey.

– We had of course hoped for a better result, says L’s party secretary Jakob Olofsgård.

He also says that he sees great potential for his party to reach out to more voters.

– Which was evident not least in the EU election, where we achieved a good result.
