Thus, Perry is the female artist with the most YouTube views in the world.
The song had collected by 2020 three billion views.
In the video, Perry falls into the jungle in a plane crash, tries to adapt there and tames a tiger. They directed the video Grady Hall and Mark Kudsi.
Roar, released as a single from the Prism album, was at the top of the American Billboard chart for two weeks.
The song was promoted spectacularly: Perry performed the song on, among others, the 2013 MTV at the music video gala Under the Brooklyn Bridge and at the Sydney Opera House in October 2013.
