Been sidelined for a couple of months Teemu Turunen and Ben Tardif were the heroes of the evening, when Oulun Kärpät broke their seven-match losing streak in the hockey SM league by beating Pelicans 5–4. Turunen scored 2+1 and Tardif scored two goals. Kärpät won the last time on November 15 against Jukurei.
Pelicans took the lead twice, but Turunen equalized Numeroi 1–1 and Reid Gardiner 2–2. Ben Tardif led Kärpä for the first time with a handsome individual performance.
