Blågult took an affordable victory when they beat New Zealand at the Friends arena in Solna on Friday evening.
The director behind it is Jesper Karlsson. The Alkaamar player scored two goals in the first half as Sweden turned a 0-1 deficit into a 3-1 lead.
— We did well in the first half, pressed well and punished them. We also scored simple goals, says Karlsson in Viaplay and continues:
— The mat was not easy, it was quite difficult to play. You could see how the balls bounced, but we pressed them and got a payoff.
Next up is a very important EC qualifying match against Austria in Vienna on Tuesday. Whether Jesper Karlsson starts then remains to be seen. In any case, he was satisfied after Friday’s performance.
— It was good that the balls sat.
