Kristian Karlsson’s EC is over. In the semi-final against Slovenian Darko Jorgic, he had just equalized a deficit when the accident happened.
Karlsson slammed his hand into the edge of the table tennis table with great force and cut it open enough that he was forced to stop the match after receiving treatment.
The Swede tried to continue playing but it didn’t work and therefore he stopped the match in tears.
– It was hard. I’m maybe in the shape of my life and I don’t get the chance to play. It hurts, he tells SVT.
