Karlskrona’s entertainment profile Christer Peters sells his life’s work: “Feels in the heart”

Somewhere between 10 – 15,000 garments are hidden in the Nöjesklubben QL’s premises in Karlskrona. But after a couple of deaths within the association combined with a failed market for masquerade clothing after the pandemic, Christer Peters is forced to put the clothes up for sale. Something like P4 Blekinge previously reported.

– Locally, there is not the same demand for masquerade clothing as it once was, says Christer Peters to SVT Nyheter Blekinge.

“The most important thing is to find the right buyer

The collection, which dates back to early 20th century Christmas plays and revues and includes everything from animal costumes to ball gowns and uniforms, is for sale for SEK 800,000. Actually, it is worth a lot, says Christer Peters.

But the most important thing is to find someone who can manage the collection.

– It is a unique collection that takes several generations to build up. So I hope it reaches the right buyer who can develop this further. Then we will be happy, says Christer Peters.
