Kamala Harris: Donald Trump is a fascist

The answer: “Calling me Hitler – you get fired” • TV4 The news on the ground in Georgia

The temperature is rising in the United States ahead of the election in November. Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris says in an interview with CNN that her opponent Donald Trump is a fascist.

– Yes, I do, she answers the question if she considers her opponent a fascist, and adds that one “should trust” those who know him best.

The interview took place in the wave champion state of Pennsylvania in front of an audience and the attack comes after John Kelly, who was Trump’s White House chief of staff between 2017 and 2019, described his former boss as “definitely authoritarian” in an interview with the New York Times. Kelly also believes that Trump meets the criteria for a fascist and that the ex-president is said to have said on several occasions that Hitler “did good things too”.

Trump’s response: You’re fired!

Donald Trump responded to this by calling Harris incompetent during his campaign rally.

– Kamala Harris… You’ve done a lousy job. You are the worst ever. No one has been worse. You can’t say two sentences in a row. The world is laughing at us because of you and “Rogue Joe”. Kamala, you’re fired! Stick, go! You’re fired!, he says.

During Thursday morning, the ex-president also wrote a post on X where he went on the counterattack and says that Kamala Harris is losing big.

“Now she raises the tone more and more and goes so far as to call me Adolf Hitler. She is a threat to democracy and not fit to be president of the United States,” he writes, among other things.

TV4 News’ foreign correspondent Lisa Grenfors is in Duluth, Georgia, where Trump held his campaign meeting, and comments on the latest personal attacks.

– Donald Trump concentrated that part of his speech on the intelligence of Kamala Harris. It is something that he has done in recent days when he has gone on the attack against his opponent. When we spoke to meeting participants in Duluth, some say that it is problematic how Donald Trump expresses himself, but they say at the same time that you can be lenient with it, she says.

She believes that those who came and listened to Kamala Harris to get answers about what policies she wants to pursue were disappointed.

– There were not so clear answers. What she did instead was to remind the voters why they voted for Joe Biden last election and suggested that it was these democratic problems with Donald Trump that made them vote for Biden and would now be the reason to vote for her , she says.
