“The threat was directed at the school and we acted immediately and handed the matter over to the police,” says the school’s CEO Tomas Eriksson to SVT.
The decision to remain closed also applies to another school in the same building. 480 upper secondary and upper secondary students are affected.
Tomas Eriksson does not want to comment on what the threat is about.
The police confirm that they are investigating the information.
– We have received information relating to a school in Kalmar, which we do not go into, and there is ongoing control and evaluation of that information, says police spokesperson Rickard Lundqvist to TT.
The school closing is not an initiative of the police, according to Lundqvist.
