Kalmar HC has been preparing throughout the spring for the possibility that there would be an announcement about games in the Hockeyallsvenskan, the club writes on its website. The reason is that Kristianstad IK does not meet the requirements according to the licensing board.
In two weeks, the Swedish Ice Hockey Association will formally offer Kalmar HC a place in the Hockeyallsvenskan.
– We have had the Hockeyallsvenskan as our goal, we know it is tough and we know what is required of us. Of course we will accept the offer, says Camilla Freedeke, chairman of Kalmar HC to Sweden’s Radio P4 Kalmar.
