The resignation follows criticism of Kadoura after he spread anti-Semitic messages and shared a video praising the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.
“It has been a difficult and heavy decision, but I have come to the conclusion that it is the right decision for me as my fight for peace and a free Palestine is not negotiable. I am resigning with pride and strength,” he writes in the post.
The message from V’s management has previously been that Kadoura can remain because he has removed the posts and has been remorseful.
V’s party secretary Aron Etzler now writes in a comment to TT that the Left Party takes “unacceptable rhetoric very seriously even in cases where it was spread due to ignorance”.
Etzler further writes that a process and talks have been going on with Orwa Kadoura for some time.
“He now chooses to leave his assignments. I understand and respect his decision.”
SVT Nyheter Skåne is looking for Orwa Kadoura for a comment.
