Ray Fisher was among those who spoke out publicly against Joss Whedon’s conduct on the Justice League set. Due to the tensions between him and the director, it is said that the much larger Cyborg story in the theatrical version of the DC blockbuster so small failed.

The 2021 Justice League Snyder cut showed that Fisher’s character was actually a emotional key figure for the plot of the film.
