The TV4 News broadcast has visited the town of Yampil in eastern Ukraine, which was occupied by Russia for seven months, before it was liberated by Ukrainian troops at the end of September.

At the far end of the front line in Donbass, four siblings collect food and supplies from an aid organization. When the children’s uncle Dmytro thinks back to the occupation and the fighting that went on around their house, he is at a loss for words.

– We were just trying to survive. It’s impossible to explain, you have to have experienced it, he says.
