Just deleted a very important message? This trick lets you find it in one go

Just deleted a very important message This trick lets you

Finding a message deleted by mistake is ultimately just a matter of one step.

Many people don’t know this, but our smartphones have many hidden features that can be very practical or even life-saving in certain circumstances. One example among others: we have all found ourselves at one time or another in a panic after deleting a very important or even vital message, received or written on our phone. Well, you should know that there is a little-known but very effective technique for finding it via the “Messages” application, which is equipped by default on iPhones for sending SMS messages.

This feature is therefore to be found on iPhone essentially and whatever the model. It can be recent or old, it does not matter since the option has been present for many years on Apple devices. However, you must first and foremost make sure that it is activated before using it. To do this, go to the settings of your iPhone and in the “Accessibility” section. You will find the option in question there: “shake to cancel”.

Once this is activated, you will have a very simple, yet very practical technique! As its name suggests, it is only activated when you shake your phone.

Its function? Simply undo the last action you performed on the iPhone. In the “Messages” application, it can allow you to easily find a message that you have just accidentally deleted. Be careful though, since the “shake to undo” feature only concerns the last action you performed. So, if you have deleted a message by mistake and then started to type another one, shaking your iPhone to undo your last action will only delete the last letter or the last passage of text that you typed!

The “shake to cancel” option is also available without moving your iPhone. Simply place three fingers on the screen of your “Messages” app and hold them for a brief moment to activate the feature without having to shake your iPhone. A more discreet way to do the operation without people around you looking at you strangely shaking your phone.

Note that the “shake to undo” feature is not limited to the “Messages” app. Developers of other apps can also use this option, such as Instagram, which in the United States allows you to reset the app in the event of a bug when you shake your iPhone.
