A jury found Hunter Biden lied to a federally licensed gun dealer about his drug use in order to purchase a firearm. Biden has also been in illegal possession of a gun for 11 days.

Hunter Biden becomes the first child of a sitting president in US history to be convicted of a felony.

In the United States, you can usually get a maximum prison sentence of about 10-25 years for similar gun crimes, but those convicted rarely end up serving nearly the entire time, The BBC reports.

It is not yet certain whether Biden will be behind bars at all as a first-timer when the judge Maryellen Noreika condemns him. The judge has not yet set a sentencing date.

Hunter Biden’s legal troubles aren’t over yet. He will be indicted in California for $1.4 million in unpaid taxes in September.
