In I’m a Celebrity – Showdown of the Jungle Legends, two stars had to leave the South African jungle. David Ortega was voted out by his fellow contestants on the second day. After just under a week, Hanka Rackwitz said the famous sentence “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!” and after a lot of friction with the others, he voluntarily went home. Now the legends chose one of them without knowing it.
Without knowing it: Jungle campers choose this legend from the jungle
On day 8 it’s time to say goodbye again. But without knowing it, the campers vote one of them out. A voting game is designed to create a mood among the participants. Everyone has to choose one of their fellow competitors who has what it takes to win. At the same time, they have to name a legend who no longer belongs in the camp. What seems to the spectators and the campers like a game that is simply intended to generate even more arguments has a completely different background. Because a few hours later, Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen announce: Winfried Glatzeder received the most negative votes and therefore has to leave the show.

At 79, Winfried Glatzeder was the oldest jungle camp resident
For Winfried, the expulsion seems like a relief. He only took part in the legends season because he assumed that he would be voted out after a week due to the lack of viewer voting. But when that didn’t happen, his positive mood left him. Now Winfried is looking forward to going home and has a few words for all former campers who are considering taking part in the jungle camp again:
It was an adventure. It really was an adventure. You have to be crazy, I can only warn against repeating this adventure. It’s hard, it’s hard work, it’s really hard work.
