Julien Doré announces the upcoming release of an album with three unlikely guests.
Julien Doré likes to surprise, that’s nothing new. This time, the singer announces the upcoming release of an album… of covers. Of La Kiffance from Naps to Die on stage from Dalida, passing by Woman Like U, All the women in your life or even Cooked Bananasthis disc called Impostor will have 18 songs, only covers. A sort of nod to this exercise in which he had excelled at La Nouvelle Star, which he won 17 years ago, barrette in his hair.
So to achieve Impostor, Julien Doré collaborated directly with the artists whose pieces he borrows, to “tell them in the present, to what extent they are present in the history of my memories”, we can read in a press release. The album will include three duets, with Sharon Stone, Francis Cabrel and Hélène Ségara. Also features the timeless Me…Lolitawhich the artist had already covered at La Nouvelle Star and did not fail to sing on stage.
Speaking of the stage, Julien Doré announced a few months ago a new tour planned for spring and fall 2025, therefore auguring the release of a new record, as surprising as it may be. For now, the album Impostor does not have a release date, although it is specified that it will be available for pre-order on July 17.
