In Mikkeli’s evening, Jukurit, stuck as a series jumbo, broke its losing streak of six matches and grabbed its third win of the season when it defeated Ilves with 3–2 goals.
The opening goal of the match had to wait until the beginning of the second period, but after that Jukurit hit the net three times in a short period of time.
Initially Topias Hynninen hit underpowered and after that Santeri Koskela reinforced the lead during the postponed penalty. When Jesper Piitulainen already shot the home team to a 3–0 lead before the half of the set, Dominik Pavlat got to skate away from the Tampere team’s goal and Jakub Malek take responsibility for prevention.
Moments later, Ilves’ Czech reinforcement Daniel Gazda showed his shooting power in Ilves’ narrow goal, when the puck hit the net at a speed of no less than 166.2 kilometers per hour. The ferocious shot is the second hardest shot recorded in the SM league – only the puck has been hit with more force than that Juhamatti Aaltonen in the 2020–2021 season (167.6 km/h).
At the beginning of the third period, Ilves rose to the end of the goal Matias Mäntykivin with art, but the tassel ears couldn’t get any closer than this.
One goal was enough for HIFK to win
Helsinki IFK, which holds the top spot in the league table, claimed full points from Vaasa on Saturday, when it defeated Sport with 1–0 goals.
The Canadian striker was responsible for the only hit of the evening Vincent Marleaufor whom the hit was the fifth of the season.
With their victory in Tappara on Friday, the furious SaiPa already crept within a point of the Helsinki team, but now HIFK, who have played one match more, are four points ahead again. Kiekko-Espoo is also four points away from Helsinki after Saturday.
Kiekko-Espoo took the points from Lahti
Kiekko-Espoo, who struggled with Kärppi until extra time on Friday, took the points from Lahti on Saturday. The team defeated the Pelicans with a score of 5–4.
Kiekko-Espoo took the lead for the first time at the beginning of the opening set, when the team captain Ville Lajunen itch from the feel of the blue line sank behind the Pelicans guard. At the end of the batch Joni Piipponen ensured the visitors went into the break with a two-goal lead.

Overtime win for Tappara from Rauma
Tappara, who bowed out to SaiPa in Lappeenranta on Friday, returned to the winning position as Raumalla Luko’s guest, but the full series points remained a dream, as the decision was only reached in overtime.
The actual game time was fairly even in terms of goals, as both teams scored once in each set. Tappara was already close to winning by three points, but Lukko struggled to level himself in the penultimate minute of the final set without a goalkeeper.
Rauma was the hero of the people of Tampere Christian Tanuswho slipped the puck into the net in 63.46. In addition to the winning goal, Tanus grabbed an assist from Tappara’s opening goal.
The pain of the flies continues
The sky of the Oulu Kärppie, who played in a low mood this fall, continues to be gloomy, because on Saturday they lost to HPK in overtime by 4-5.
The team was already very close to the full points pot, but HPK’s 4–4 equalizer in 59:59 moved the decision to overtime. He scored the winning goal Roope Vesterinenfor whom the hit was the second of the evening.

Kärpät started the match convincingly. Only 17 seconds had passed from the game clock, when the leader of his team’s points market Michal Kovarcik shook the home team into the lead. Before the break Julius Hermonen moved Kärpät to a two-goal lead again with his second hit of the season.
In the second half, the goal buzzer rang in Oulu only once, when Bengtson managed to reduce HPK’s goal difference again. The next hit was also the handiwork of the Hämeenlinna people, as Roope Vesterinen brought the team up with his knuckle shot.
Miika Koivisto hit Kärpi two and a half minutes before the end of regular time, but HPK’s persistent fight ensured that the goal was not enough to win.
KooKoo rose from the chasing position to victory
After Kuopio’s goal-rich match, KooKoo left the ice as the winner. KalPa’s fate was a penalty at the end of the final set, as the Kouvola team’s 5–4 winning goal was scored by Kalle Loponen by force.
KooKoo started the match well and scored its opening goal less than a minute and a half into the game with a dominant force, when Gallo Vilmos and Radek Koblizek structured the situation and Robert Rooba put the puck in the net.
KalPa got the equalizer just over a minute later when the puck bounced Jaakko Rissanen from foot to finish. The hit was approved after video inspection.
In the second period, the puck hit the net again from Rissanen’s skate, which brought the home team, who was in a 1–2 loss position, to level.
KalPa took the lead for the first time during the evening at the end of the second period Lasse Lappalainen on hit, and 20 seconds later Matyas Kantner increased Kuopio’s lead to two goals.
However, KooKoo leveled up with a two-goal night By Jonas Oden with hits.

The winning goal of the match was seen right at the beginning of the first period. JYP received a team penalty for having too many players on the ice. TPS used its opportunity when Jean-Christophe Beaudin guided the return puck in from the goal area after half a minute of superior play.
Turku’s second hit was seen at the end of the set, when Petrus Palmu dunked the puck into the net after a drive through. The puck was passed to Palmu after he played his first league game in his career Jesse Vuorela. At the end of the match, he finished the final readings Topias Haapanen empty net.
