Jukuries finances are tight The future as a league club

According to the release, Jukurit has also stabilized its finances by cutting its expenses by 700,000 euros.

Jukurit, who plays in the Ice Hockey Championship League, says in a press release that the club’s share issue will take place.

According to Jukurie, the minimum goal of 250,000 euros has been reached. Jukurit decided to extend the share issue for another month in order to complete the ongoing share negotiations. Managing director Antti Laakson according to the minimum target of the share issue partly secures the economy of this period.

– Despite the realization of the share issue, the economic situation is very tight and the future uncertain. We are still negotiating about share subscriptions, so by extending the validity period of the share issue, we will have the opportunity to increase the number of share subscriptions, Laakso commented in the press release.

According to the release, Jukurit has also stabilized its finances by cutting its expenses by 700,000 euros. However, in Jukurei, the number of spectators is a cause for concern, as there have been an average of 2,248 spectators in the early season matches. Jukurie’s budgeted goal is 3,000 spectators per match.

– If the number of spectators cannot be increased, Jukurit’s financial situation will become even more difficult, and the future as a league club may be at stake, Jukurit writes in its press release.

Laakso previously told Urheilu that the VIP side of the club has worked well enough that Jukurit is not yet chasing an awful lot of budget. However, he added that Jukurit is really in trouble if the audience numbers continue to be the same.

– Mikkeli deserves his own league club, the activities of which we strive to develop year by year, so we hope that we will find ways to get people to the hall. The income streams brought by ticket sales and ancillary sales are of course also important for supporting sporting success, Laakso said in the press release.

The SM league clubs made an operating loss of 11 million euros last season. Vaasan Sport also told about its financial difficulties this week.
