Judge: Trump guilty of fraud

According to the judge, Trump, his real estate company and key managers – including his two sons – have repeatedly lied about, among other things, annual accounts. The inflated figures have led to favorable loan terms and lower insurance premiums.

Trump also allegedly exaggerated the value of the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, his Trump Tower penthouse, as well as other office buildings and golf courses. In this way, he has exaggerated the value of all his assets by 3.6 billion dollars.

The head of the state’s Department of Justice, Letitia James, wants to see a fine of 250 million dollars, corresponding to more than 2.7 billion kroner for Donald Trump.

The message from the judge concerns key points in a civil case that will be taken up in court on Monday, October 2, writes BBC.

The trial is believed to last until December.
