In 1976, hikers at the De Heul parking lot, along the A12 near Maarsbergen, found the remains of an unknown girl. She had been dead for quite some time and lay naked under a stack of branches and leaves. After all these years it is still not clear who this girl is. In 2013, the Heul girl was excavated for the third time, then DNA was taken again to be able to do a relationship investigation.
