A Santa Fe judge decided to dismiss the case because he felt state prosecutors had withheld key evidence from Baldwin’s defense.
Cameraman Halyna Hutchins died on the set of the movie Rust in 2021, while Baldwin was practicing a scene with a handgun that was supposed to have only bang charges. There was a real bullet in the gun.
The judge ruled that police and prosecutors had failed to share bullet evidence potentially related to Hutchins’ death with Baldwin’s defense.
