English star Jude Bellingham can play on Saturday in the European football quarter-final against Switzerland. European football association Uefa fined Bellingham 30,000 euros and suspended him for one matchwhich is valid for one year and requires impeccable behavior from the British player in the future.

The 21-year-old superstar flinched during the quarter-final against Slovakia when he put his hand first to his nose and then to his genitals.

Bellingham commented on the moment on his X account. He denied making the gesture towards the Slovakian bench.

– This was an inside joke among close friends who were at the game. “Just respect to Slovakia the way they played,” Bellingham said.

In addition to Bellingham’s fines, the English Football Association was fined a total of 11,000 euros due to the disruptive behavior of the spectators.

The top scorer who scored two goals for Turkey against Austria Merih Demiral is suspended for two matches from his tumult. Thus, Turkey’s surprise hero is on the sidelines for Saturday’s quarter-final against the Netherlands and also for the possible semi-final.

Demiral, 26, scored the second goal while waving the “wolf salute” (in English Wolf salute, gray Wolf salute or gray Wolf gesture). The gesture is associated with ultra-nationalist movements and parties in Turkey and is known as the salute of the Turkish Gray Wolves group.

The group’s ideology is ultra-nationalist, anti-Semitic and racist. Demiral himself said that the airing did not contain any hidden messages.
