Through her career, which began on Swedish Radio in 1962, Ewonne Winblad worked at several of the country’s major newsrooms.
During his many years at SVT, Winblad would work as both a reporter and newscaster. In the latter role, she hosted, among other things, the historic first news broadcast after the assassination of Prime Minister Olof Palme in 1986.
Ewonne Winblad has also been head of both Rapport and Swedish Radio P1.
She was married to SVT journalist Lennart Winblad, who died in March this year.
Ewonne Winblad turned 85 years old.
