Josefin Taljegård is ready for the final in the Figure Skating World Cup in Montreal, Canada. A flawless short program means a 15th place for the Swede before the free program.
Josefin Taljegård set a season’s best with 61.55 points and is ready for the third WC final of his career, where a total of 24 skaters will settle for the medals.
The 28-year-old’s card program was basically flawless.
“My best figure skating experience. I did everything that I wanted and managed to do it with good quality. I really felt that I had the audience with me all the way,” says Josefin Taljegård in a press release.
The women’s final will be decided on the night of Saturday, Swedish time.
“Josefin really impressed today. She continues to perform when it really matters and shows once again that she belongs to the world’s elite,” says the Swedish Figure Skating Association’s sports director Anna Burwall.
In the pair skating final, however, there will be no Swedish representation. The sibling duo Greta and John Crawford finished second last in Wednesday’s short program and missed the final in his WC debut.
Canada’s Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps leading after the short program.
However, it will be more Swedish on the ice already on Thursday evening. Then steps Andreas Nordebäck into the WC, including the men’s short program.
