Jordan Bardella leaves a job well paid but his monthly

Jordan Bardella has resigned from his mandate as a regional advisor in Île-de-France, which he had occupied since 2015. A decision that could be motivated by money.

Jordan Bardella, elected to the Ile-de-France regional council since 2015, has chosen to resign, according to information from Release. According to the region, he left his headquarters on Wednesday, February 19.

President of the national rally, Jordan Bardella had entered politics in 2015, becoming regional councilor at only 20 years old. He then led the RN list in Seine-Saint-Denis during the regional elections of 2021. According to his entourage, “he leaves his place, which is very common in the context of multiple mandates”.

A sham of compensation prohibited

A choice whose pattern could be pecunier. Since his election as a European deputy in 2019, Jordan Bardella could no longer receive the 2,994.84 euros monthly compensation related to his post of regional advisor, the accumulation of these allowances being prohibited. No parliamentarian can receive more than 9,857 euros in cumulative compensation.

His entourage said that Jordan Bardella was exercising his mandate as a regional advisor on a voluntary basis, stressing that most of the regional council sessions coincided with those of the European Parliament, making his presence difficult. However, this resignation could only have a limited impact on the functioning of the Ile-de-France regional council. “Jordan Bardella was invisible to the region. He was almost never present in the plenary,” said a regional source. He thus leaves his seat to Colette Lévêque, number two on the list of RN in Seine-Saint-Denis.
