There Jordan sent a caravan of ten trucks, or 200 tons of humanitarian aid, to the Syrian Red Crescent to support the new government after the fall of Bashar al-Assad.
This first delivery marks the start of a series, including medical supplies, according to Hussein Al-Shibli, humanitarian with the Hashemite foundation: “ This first caravan will be followed by others, which will be distributed in several regions of sister Syria. We will begin now to open the door to donations and assistance from the Jordanian people for the brothers and sisters in Syria, and this will continue until Syria regains its stability. »

Jordanian aid, according to Jordanian economic expert Obeidah Al-Rabi’i, will help support families affected by the armed conflict which has lasted for more than 13 years and will allow the displaced to receive food in a context in which organizations humanitarian workers were prevented from working in Syria so far. “ The aid is tailored to the needs of affected Syrian families, particularly as thousands of households suffer from difficult living conditions due to military and political conflicts, especially in regions that were outside the control of the previous Syrian regime. », assures the expert.
New relationships
Jordan seeks to establish good relations with the new Syrian regime, especially since Syria represents a strategic economic axis for Jordan. Thanks to their common border, goods can be exported to Lebanon, Turkey, and even Europe.
In addition to trade, Jordan also plays an active role in international politics. The country has thus been the scene in recent days of several discussions between States on the new situation in Syria.
