It moves Joppe again today when he realizes what actually happened. He greatly appreciates the surprise at City Hall. “I’m overwhelmed. I think it’s beautiful and cool and cool, but I don’t think I can fully realize it yet.” He also wants to add that the cooperation between him, the bystanders and the police went very well. “I really see this as a team effort,” says Joppe. “I’m getting a ribbon today, you’re interviewing me and that’s great, but I was also very moved because the police were there within two minutes. And I immediately got a shower and a towel. I then thought: wow, we’re really alive in a beautiful country and it is nice that we can do that together.”
