Joost Klein about the closed preliminary investigation after Eurovision

Today, the police announced that they are closing the preliminary investigation into illegal threats against Joost Klein.
Now the Eurovision artist breaks the silence.
“Every day I felt insecure even though I knew the truth,” he writes on Instagram.

The artist Joost Klein was supposed to represent the Netherlands in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest – but was washed away when he was suspected of illegal threats against a woman in the production. During Monday, the police announced that the preliminary investigation is closed.

“The last few months have been terrible. Although I love to perform anywhere in the world, there was something that didn’t feel right,” he writes in a post on Instagram.

“There has never been a case”

Furthermore, he is critical of the process taking so long.

“Every day I felt insecure even though I knew the truth. There is no case against me, because there never was any case”.

The 26-year-old took Europe by storm with his “Europe Pope”. He quickly became one of the big crowd favorites and finished second in his semi-final, ahead of, among others, the Swiss winning entry “The code”.
