Today, the police announced that they are closing the preliminary investigation into illegal threats against Joost Klein.
Now the Eurovision artist breaks the silence.
“Every day I felt insecure even though I knew the truth,” he writes on Instagram.
The artist Joost Klein was supposed to represent the Netherlands in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest – but was washed away when he was suspected of illegal threats against a woman in the production. During Monday, the police announced that the preliminary investigation is closed.
“The last few months have been terrible. Although I love to perform anywhere in the world, there was something that didn’t feel right,” he writes in a post on Instagram.
“There has never been a case”
Furthermore, he is critical of the process taking so long.
“Every day I felt insecure even though I knew the truth. There is no case against me, because there never was any case”.
The 26-year-old took Europe by storm with his “Europe Pope”. He quickly became one of the big crowd favorites and finished second in his semi-final, ahead of, among others, the Swiss winning entry “The code”.
