Jonna Sundling’s honest words after the successful comeback – now reveal major concerns: “It’s not timely”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Jonna Sundling missed a month of the competition season.
Meanwhile, diseases continue to ravage.
After the star’s successful comeback this weekend, she reveals that there is a concern.
– It is not timely, she says.

Jonna Sundling is the world’s best sprinter. She has proven that in two straight WCs and Olympics, and many were looking forward to seeing her continue to dominate this season. But the ski lovers have had to wait. Sundling has been suffering from a prolonged cold, and she did not make her competitive debut this season until Friday.

Reveals major concerns

This weekend, Sundling competed in Östersund, in the Skandivaniska Cup, and talk about success. She won Friday’s sprint ahead of riders like Linn Svahn, and on Saturday she won the distance race. A serious statement, in which she also said that she still feels like she’s had a cold for a month. Now everyone is looking forward to seeing Sundling compete in the World Cup again, especially considering how the World Cup squad actually looks right now.

Sundling is not the only one suffering from illnesses and colds, and the dropouts have replaced each other this past weekend. And there are concerns from Sundling himself about going on further bangs.

– There are a lot of cold viruses now and I myself have been affected. It makes me feel that I don’t want to get sick, I was sick for a whole month and it took a lot on the body physically, she tells Östersunds-Posten.

“Very, very careful”

Jonna Sundling believes that she, and other national team mates, are always careful. But in the future, security will be increased.

– We are careful all the time and I think we will be even more careful in the future. Then I don’t know if you are even more sensitive after being so careful and not exposing yourself to so much bacteria and shit. It is important to find a good balance in that. You try to do everything you can to avoid getting sick, she says.

Sundling believes that it is “absolutely not the right time” for illnesses right now. The WC is only a few months away, and every week is hyper important for the competitors.

– I am very, very, careful in normal cases. I avoid crowds and think a lot about hygiene. I always do, she says.
