Now she reveals that not everyone believed that she had actually been ill.
It has been about a month and a half since Olympic gold medalist Jonna Sundling last competed. But during Friday it is finally time for the long-awaited comeback when she is included in the sprint during the Scandinavian Cup in Östersund.
Ready for a comeback
27-year-old Sundling has only been in training for a week, and thus does not have sky-high expectations of himself.
– I am very much looking forward to competing again. But I don’t know what to expect, I have been ill for a very long time but it has felt good, Sundling tells Expressen.

The illness with which she has been suffering for a long time has been about a very prolonged cold.
– There were incredibly diffuse symptoms at the beginning, but I had the feeling that something was crazy in my body. After a week it broke out in a real cold, the whole of November we can only iron. I was bad then. It has been very frustrating. Nobody wants to be away from their job for a month, she tells the newspaper.

“Received comments”
It is confirmed that it has been about a cold, as she previously tested negative for both the coronavirus and the flu. But Sundling says that there are people who did not believe that you could have a cold for such a long period.
– A lot of people may not have believed that I was sick and had a cold for so long, but it obviously works.

– Comments have been received. Can you really be sick this long, tell me what’s really wrong, you can’t just have a cold. But yes. It was no secret, it was just a common cold.
