Last years have Jonna Sundling Really established itself in the absolute world top in cross -country skiing. She has dominated in sprint and collected medals on high.
Sundling’s greatness
Sundling has won two straight World Cup golds in both sprint and sprint relay, as well as an Olympic gold in sprint in between. Five gold medals at the last three championships are an incredible fact.

Now another ski World Cup, this time in Norwegian Trondheim, is coming in and Jonna steps in as reigning champion. After a nice season with World Cup victories in sprint, she is the big gold favorite in both sprint and sprint relay.
Jonna’s role model
The 30-year-old can really get up to speed on a pair of skis and now reveals his great role model. A world star from a completely different sport than cross -country skiing.
– It may be a little unspoken but I like athletes, kind of sprinters. And then it is Usain Bolt that I have been inspired by. I like speed and to be fast, says Jonna Sundling in the podcast “Winter Pass”.

Usain Bolt Is the world’s fastest man of all time and has won an incredible 8 Olympic gold and 11 World Cup gold. Sundling has really learned a lot from the explosive Jamaican.
– I think it’s fun to look at him and he is the fastest man in the world. It’s hard not to tell him, says Jonna in the pod.
– I get inspired by speed. It’s so simple. Or yes, maybe not so easy to be him. But to be so fast and strong, it inspires me. Then I have tried to transfer it to skiing, to be as fast as possible. Small details from athletics that can suit me as a skier.
