Joni Mäki no longer let Miro Karppanen surprise him in the letter – Remi Lindholm was immediately ready to peck

Joni Maki no longer let Miro Karppanen surprise him in

Pohti SkiTeam’s Joni Mäki won the relay race for his team in the final battle of the anchor leg in Rovaniemi. Finishing second in the relay competition upset Miro Karppa of Imatra.

Pertti Lappalainen,

Laura Arffman

The relay races of the Finnish Cup of Skiing ended with Pohti SkiTeam’s victory in the men’s relay in Rovaniemi. I pondered Joni Mäki ran away to the stadium upon reaching the Imatra Athletes From Miro Karppa and the Tampere Company Waltteri from Vinkanharju. Mäki got a revenge from Karppase, who over a year ago beat Mäki in the double relay final of the Imatra Championship.

– Today we paid potts in potts, Mäki said after the competition.

For the anchor section, four teams started to fight for the top positions almost at the same time. Jämin Jänne fell out of the top group earlier. Before Mäki’s final jolt, the pace remained calm.

– I live from those end-of-life struggles. Agreed that no one wanted to pull, Mäki said, satisfied with the speed of the trip.

In second place, Imatra’s Urheilijat secured the victory of the overall race of the relay cup. Karppa was saddened by the loss and second place in the scrimmage.

– Joni was so strong today that there were no splits. I’m a little disappointed with the silver, the victory would have tasted better, he stated in the interview.

Having skied the second section of Imatra At Remi Lindholm had a receipt ready for his teammate.

– You’ve managed so many victories for us, it’s so good that you sometimes stay second so that you don’t get pissed off, Lindholm acknowledged to his teammate with a smile on his face.

On the second leg, Jämin Jänte Markus Vuorela clearly increased the pace, and a few teams broke away. However, Vuorela couldn’t get away and in the end the top teams were practically level at the exchange.

– “Make” seems to have frozen a bit in that move, and then the pace leveled off again. Nice breakaway attempt from “Make”, Lindholm said about his national teammate’s tear.

Lindholm won this week’s Lapponia skiing in Olos. A total of 190 kilometers were skied in Lapland: 60 km on Tuesday, 50 km on Wednesday and 90 km on Friday. Lindholm won with a total time of 7:43:06.4 ahead of the German Thomas Bing (+39.9) and Kari Varista (+1.56,4).

The third place in Saturday’s relay competition was by far the best performance of the Tampere company in the Finnish cup of the season. The team’s best finish previously was ninth place in Inari’s WC relay. Imatran’s Athletes, on the other hand, won the overall relay cup competition with 880 total points. Pohti SkiTeam came second with 728 points. Jämin Jänne was third in the Cup with 600 points.
