Jonathan Puda’s scornful gesture on the stand against Färjestad

Skellefteå won against Färjestad by 6-2 and switched the grip properly about the quarterfinals series.
After the match, however, most of it was about judicial criticism and filming on the ice.
Among other things, the injured Skellefteå captain Jonathan Pudas appeared to sit on the stand and makes mocking hand gestures.

There were upset feelings in Skelleftea Kraft Arena during the fourth quarterfinals between the basic series member Skellefteå and Fyran Färjestad. The home team managed to throw in five (!) Goals in powerplay and won a total of 6-2. It was the third straight victory of the Västerbotten and they now have 3-1 in the match series.

Much criticism of the judges

There was a lot of talk about the judge’s effort after the match. As Färjestad let in five pucks in numerical disadvantage criticized the coach Tomas Mitell The decisions that became absolutely crucial.
– I think it is incredibly strange doomed. The (Viktor) Lodin goes on so their players pull the helmet of him so it should also have been expulsion and then the third it is probably four tripping in front of their bag and then they take our back for Holding in the corner. It doesn’t feel like we get a “fair” chance, Mitell tells TV4 Play.

Something else it was moaning about was filming on the ice. On one occasion in the match became Pär Lindholm expelled (two minutes for interference) after a situation with the guests’ Oliver Eklind. Then there was life in the door inside the arena.

Jonathan Puda’s sign up on the stand

The home fan signaled for “Diving”, that Eklind filmed. Lindholm and the players in Skellefteå’s booth also made the classic hand gesture to point out for the judges that the Ferry Player threw himself. In addition, the cameras caught how the team’s captain Jonathan Pudaswho sat on the stand because of an injury, sat and made the same scornful signs.

Oliver Eklind contested the charges after the match.
– They must say and think what they want. It is clear that they bring the judges with it too. Then we get less expulsions, when they play over each time. Then when we do it, then we get expulsions. It is clear that it is frustrating. They have got the judges where they want, he says.

He himself thinks the judges Richard Magnusson and Daniel Eriksson made a proper assessment.
– It’s not so easy when you go up to a back. When you get stuck with the leg and someone presses into the hip. It was one hundred percent an expulsion. I couldn’t get up. It felt like there were some strange verdicts today. It may have been to Skellefteå’s advantage today, of course.

What do you think about the match series between Skellefteå and Färjestad? Is it completely run now for the warm -landers or do they have more to give? Feel free to comment!
