Jonas Falk is extradited to Sweden

Jonas Falk was arrested in Spain in August and has been in custody awaiting extradition since then. Charges against him are expected at a later date.

In 2010, the Swede was singled out as the ringleader in the large drug ring “Operation Playa”, and was sentenced in the district court to 18 years in prison for extensive cocaine smuggling from Colombia, but was acquitted in 2014 in the Court of Appeal.

Jonas Falk has been handed over to the Swedish police

Now he has been handed over from Spain to the Swedish police, reports Aftonbladet. It will mostly be nice to get out of here, he tells the newspaper.

Falk is suspected of having been behind an extortion scheme against Joachim Kuylenstiernaformer CEO of the listed investment company Fastator.

In addition to aggravated blackmail, he is suspected of aiding and abetting aggravated arson after an arson attack against one of Kuylenstierna’s colleagues.

Eight people charged

A total of eight people were charged in early September. Prosecutor Anna Strath then described the blackmail attempt as extremely serious, where Kuylenstierna received threats and demands for payment of 100 million kroner in the fall of 2023.

Among the defendants are two people linked to the criminal Vårby network in southern Stockholm, as well as a lawyer.
