José Mourinho was furious after the Europa League final.
But it is someone else’s actions that now make Jonas Eriksson angry.
– He is a great person, but here he does everything wrong, says the SVT expert to SportExpressen.
The whole football world is talking about Jose Mourinho’s psyche break after the Europa League final. His Roma lost on penalties against Sevilla and after the eventful final match, the Portuguese showed his clear displeasure.
Mourinho angry
Demons coach Mourinho shouted at the head referee Anthony Taylor in the catacombs and was furious. Now the SVT expert reacts Jonas Eriksson tough – but not at Mourinho’s behavior – but how Uefa’s head of referees Roberto Rossetti acted in the video, see it below.
– Mourinho has been pissing on the referees for 120 minutes. Then it might not be the time for the most responsible leader of all Europe’s referees to hug Mourinho. What kind of signals does that send to Taylor? What kind of signals does that send to all the judges?, says an upset Eriksson to SportExpressen.

The images clearly show how Rosetti chooses to greet Mourinho with a hug and then does not act at all when the Portuguese continues to shout insults at the referee Taylor.
– He is a coward and afraid of conflict there. Instead of taking the fight and defending his judge, he leaves. What will the work environment be like then, if the manager does not stand up for his employees?, says SVT expert Jonas Eriksson in the interview.
– I’m not saying he should scold Mourinho or take him in the ear. But you have to stand up for your colleague.

Eriksson’s criticism
The Swedish referee profile is friends with Rosetti and has previously worked together with the Italian. They refereed the final of the U17 EC 2002 together actually.
– He is a great person, a fantastic person. He has also done a lot for the judging, but here he is doing everything wrong, Eriksson admits to the evening newspaper.

The Europa League final became quite dramatic as the match finished 1-1 in regular time and then went to penalties where Sevilla defeated Roma to win their seventh Europa League title. A number of yellow cards were handed out during the emotional final and this was actually the first time ever that José Mourinho had lost a European Cup final.
