He is a phenomenon, a safe bet and a must in the UFC. Jon Jones has decided to return to the cage after three years to continue writing the history of his sport, which he dominated before.
Of American nationality, Jon Jones was born in Rochester in the state of New York on July 19, 1987. During his adolescence, “Bones” experienced a dramatic episode. He lost his sister to a brain tumor when she was 17 years old. Very quickly he confronts the fights. First with his brothers, then he found refuge in the fight. A university champion, his ability in this martial art earned him propelled into the professional world. At 20, he was the youngest athlete to compete in a fight. With 6 wins, all by KO, he signed to the UFC in the light heavyweight category.
He then perfected himself in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Gaidojutsu. At 23, he was rewarded for his efforts and became the youngest fighter to win a UFC belt. His unshakable confidence will allow him to chain successes on his opponents. He is described as a very talented person due to his ability to excel in martial arts. His life will however be complicated in the private sector with the justice system he has had to deal with on many occasions (drugs, domestic violence, doping…). After a three-year hiatus, he has decided to return to the octagon and will sign a comeback in the heavyweight category.
At the time, when he was the undisputed light heavyweight champion, the American weighed around 93kg. To enter the heavyweight category, the fighter had to gain weight to reach the 108 kg mark.

Jon Jones had 3 daughters with his girlfriend Jesse Moses. The fighter, however, was arrested in 2021 by US police for domestic violence and vehicle damage.
