With Joker 2 just a month away from release, Warner Bros. has released the first official scene from the film to get fans excited. In this scene, we witness Arthur Fleck’s first encounter with Harley Quinn, or at least his first interaction.
Arthur and Harley’s First Interaction
The scene is brief but effective. Arthur talks to Harley, referencing events from his past and the fateful moment in Murray’s show. We are quickly given glimpses of what Arthur thinks of his new love interest in Joker 2. His devotion to Harley is striking, and the scene also hints at Arthur’s violent tendencies.
Not only that, but at the end of the scene there is a wink at the musical aspect of the story. Arthur and Harley start singing a song, but the romantic moment is interrupted by a guard.
Joker 2 will be released in theaters on October 4. As one of the most anticipated films of the year, the film is already generating high expectations and previews look very promising. Only time will tell if it can repeat the success of the original film.
