As Russia’s attacks on Ukraine continue, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson addressed the Ukrainian parliament via videoconference. Expressing that it was a great honor for him to address the Ukrainian parliament, Johnson said, “Missiles and bombs continue to rain down on the innocent Ukrainian people day by day. In the south and east of your wonderful country, Putin continues his illegal campaign to take and hold Ukrainian lands. His soldiers no longer have an excuse for not knowing what they’re doing. Emphasizing that the UK will do everything in its power to hold Russia accountable for its war crimes in Ukraine, Johnson said, “I have a message for you today in a time of ongoing uncertainty, fear and doubt. Ukraine will win, Ukraine will be free. “I’m telling you why I believe you will be successful.”
Recalling that Russia made a terrible mistake as a result of miscalculations, Johnson reminded that some people said that Ukraine’s capital, Kiev, would fall within days, and said, “People called Vladimir and offered him a safe exit from the country and he said no thanks. “Today you have proven that every single one of the military experts who said that Ukraine would fall was completely wrong.”
