John Nollet, who is nicknamed “the hairdresser of the stars”, is taking over the artistic direction of the prestigious beauty house Carita, which will reopen its doors in September.
“Carita has inspired me since my earliest childhood. Already when I was little I understood that I wanted to be a hairdresser. I had asked my grandmother for a professional hairdressing kit for Christmas. She had the good idea to add a subscription to “hairstyle of Paris” (…) We almost only talked about Carita and their creations. When I was 8, I asked my grandmother to visit the Maison de beauté. I got out of it stars in my eyes, but there was a cabin that I was not able to visit… Catherine Deneuve had her hair done there”. It is with a voice trembling with emotion that John Nollet tells this anecdote which testifies to his passion for this empire of beauty and his pride in taking over its artistic direction because it is indeed a childhood dream that realized.
New era for the Carita beauty house
For two years now, the author of the famous Amélie Poulain scarf, which includes Catherine Deneuve, Monica Bellucci and Vanessa Paradis in her very VIP address book, has been working to reinvent the extraordinary legacy of the Carita sisters by infusing her very contemporary holistic vision of beauty.
Thus, from September 2022, the mythical place will offer over 1,800 m2 spread over four immaculate and bright floors, exceptional personalized services ranging from skincare to hairdressing and gastronomy if desired. Concerned about the smallest detail, the new host of the house also designed the team uniforms, inspired by the 60’s style and produced the musical playlist halfway between vintage songs and modern accents. The result is a unique overall beauty experience that promises to be one of the key discoveries of the new season. We look forward !
