Ella Halvarsson makes her very first biathlon World Cup.
Now she has won her very first World Cup medal as well.
The Swede won a brought-like World Cup silver at the distance race.
No one has really expected great deeds of the World Cup debut Ella Halvarsson. Instead, the advance favorites have obviously been the sisters Elvira Öberg and Hanna Öberg During the biathlon World Cup.

Instead, it was Ella Halvarsson who stepped forward with a giant bark and exceeded all the expectations in Lenzerheide. The 25-year-old makes his very first biathlon World Cup this year and shot completely flawlessly at the distance race.

Ella Halvarsson went goal in second place behind Frenchman Julia Simon and then had to wait a long time before it was clear. When the riders who followed, she realized that the World Cup silver was clear and then the tears came.

– It is very special I have to say. Not many people had expected it and she has shown it all year. One cannot describe her journey. She was admitted to the team because of her shooting and now she stands here with a World Cup medal. It is absolutely incredible, Lukas tells SVT with the crying in the throat.
World Cup silver medalist Ella Halvarsson can hardly believe herself what she has achieved.
– I laugh and cry about every second. What day, what weeks, she says in the live broadcast.
– It’s completely crazy. I can hardly understand it myself. Wow…. I miss words. I’m just so happy.
