– You mustn’t think that biathlon is that easy, says the national team coach.
Stina Nilsson never became the same world star in biathlon as in cross-country skiing.
But maybe it’s not so strange, I mean John Luke.
– You mustn’t think that biathlon is that simple. They are different sports that are actually combined. You can be a good shooter but that doesn’t mean you’re a good biathlon shooter under load. It shows how complex and difficult biathlon is, says the national team coach to TT.

On Wednesday, SVT revealed that Stina Nilsson, after four years as a biathlete, is now training again – to become a cross-country skier.
– It is a very exciting and interesting change. It shows that she loves new adventures and I wish her the best of luck, says Lukas.

How do you summarize Stina’s biathlon career now that it is over?
– You can still say that she has succeeded in many things. She has podiums at the IBU Cup, at the EC and in the World Cup. There are indeed many who can almost forget it. It is not obvious to take a podium place in the World Cup.

The coach believes in Stina Nilsson’s chances in the long-distance cup.
– I think it can go a long way. If I’m not mistaken, she can become historic. There shouldn’t be that many who have been on the podium in the Skiing World Cup, the Biathlon World Cup and now maybe even in long races.
