Finland Johanna Matintalo suspends the cross-country Tour de Ski before Sunday’s final race.
According to the Ski Association’s press release, Matintalo has been suffering from calf pain since November, which worsened during the Tour de Ski competitions. After Saturday’s combined race, Matintalo was in good condition and decided to skip Sunday’s final race and stop the tour.
According to the release, Matintalo’s leg will be examined in Finland, and further measures will be determined after the examinations.
Matintalo finished 26th in the combined race on Saturday and was 22nd in the overall standings of the Tour de Ski after the race.
