The man behind the new book is literature professor Johan Svedjedal from Uppsala, who is visiting Jämshög in connection with the release of the biography. The places he visits are those that meant a lot during Martinson’s upbringing, including his parents’ home and old school.
– It is fantastic to see the environments that I have only read about before, says Johan Svedjedal.
The book entitled “Min egen elds kurir – Harry Martinson’s author’s life” was published earlier this week, and Svedjedal worked on the book during the pandemic.
