If the right-wing side wins the next election, the Sweden Democrats demand that it be included in the government. According to party leader Jimmie Åkesson, continuing as now and acting as a support party is not an option. But the Liberals absolutely say no to that.
– I will not sit in a government with Jimmie Åkesson, says Johan Pehrson (L) in “30 minutes”.
According to Pehrson, the cooperation between the Tidö parties works well, but the Liberals will not work with the SD in the same way as they do with the Moderates and the Christian Democrats.
– We have completely different backgrounds, we have completely different approaches to politics and have been formed for completely different reasons, he says.
When asked what happens if the right-wing side wins a majority even after the next election and SD’s demands remain, Johan Pehrson answers:
– Yes, you know, I stand by my opinion.
– What happens then?
– What happens in that case is that you have to form a government in some other way.
The Liberals will not be in government with the Sweden Democrats or support a government that includes SD, and according to Pehrson, the party will not change its mind on that point.
– I don’t see that it will happen.
