Leksand is looking for new head coach for the next season.
Johan Hedberg is apparently the club’s main track.
Now he breaks the silence of the rumor for the SHL team.

That’s why Leksand is looking for new head coaches and Leksingen Johan Hedberg has been identified as the main candidate for work. He is currently assistant coach at SHL rival Färjestad BK and has previously made a success with the local rival Mora IK.

Hedberg has a long and nice goalkeeping career behind him and is a very exciting name as a hockey coach. Now he breaks the silence of the rumor of Leksand.
– I haven’t heard anything. People started calling me and wanted answers. There are certainly speculation here and there for all clubs that have vacancies on both coach positions and players. More than that, I do not know, he tells the local newspaper Falu-Kuriren.
Hedberg’s answer
Johan Hedberg is on an outgoing contract in FBK and is clear that he wants to become head coach again. But he should not have had any serious discussions with Leksand’s sports manager Thomas Johansson.
– Since I am at home every now and then we have run on each other. Leksand is not that big. But we have not discussed anything like that. I’m pretty busy this season with big goals in Färjestad. What happens, it happens. Should a request come, you have to decide on it then, he says in the interview.

But the newspaper in Dalarna reports that Hedberg has actually been asked to take over LIF and then refused the offer to return home. He may respond to that information as well.
– It’s more than I know. Sometimes you have more information than we have, he tells the Local newspaper.
As a result, Leksand’s coach hunt for next season goes on.
