Joey le Soldat: “All is not lost if we keep fighting”

Joey le Soldat, here at RFI, goes back to the roots to better talk about today's world.

He is one of the proponents of “conscious” rap in Africa. Joey le Soldat releases a new album this Friday, November 25, Back to the roots. Grandson of a skirmisher – hence his name – the 37-year-old singer is the spokesperson for the youth in his country, Burkina Faso, which has just experienced two successive coups and which is still under the threat of jihadist groups.
