Venezia and Como lost important Serie A points in crazy weather.

Sometimes you couldn’t make any sense of the TV picture, and the cameramen were too busy trying to wipe the lenses from the water.

In the middle of the wind and thunder, Venezia’s open stadium offers neither protection.

Venezia’s opening goal was suitably special for the weather. Hans Nicolussi Caviglia shot from 20 meters and the ball bounced Joel Pohjanpalon heel to net in the 16th minute. Legendary goalkeeper Pepe Reina looked bewildered.

For the Finnish captain, the goal would have been the fifth in 13 league matches.

The hit was later marked in the statistics for Nicolussi Caviglia, though Serie A’s own monitoring as well based on that, the ball hit Pohjanpalo.

Gazette explains it: according to the guidelines of Serie A, the goal is awarded to the sender of the original shot, even if the ball on the way hits a player of the attacking team, if the hit is not intentional. So this is the case in cases where the original bet goes towards the goal.

Thus, Pohjanpalo’s most recent goals are still two hits in Udinese’s net on October 30.

More specialties

Como’s equalizer in the 50th minute was also special. Focus on the edge, and Venezian Antonio Candela directed the ball from six meters into his own goal in a strange way.

– Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, said Katsomo’s narrator Tuomas Virkkunen.

A Spanish legend by Cesc Fàbregas head coach Como took the lead in the 56th minute when Andrea Belotti your painting.

Gaetano Oristanio scored Venezia’s equalizer in the 70th minute directly from a corner kick. The focus took a completely confusing turn – the wind pushed the ball into the back top corner.

Winged by the wind, Venezia was also close to a great lead when Hans Nicolussi Caviglia shot a wonderful long-range shot. It’s only a pity for Venezia, Joel Pohjanpalo had been offside when he met the ball while building the situation. The VAR review therefore deleted the goal from the statistics.

Como is now in 17th place in the series, i.e. in the first place of preservation. It has 12 points, like Verona behind it. Monza has 10 points and Venezia, which continues as a series jumbo, has 9 points.

Updated at 21:45. Venezia’s opening goal was not credited to Joel Pohjanpalo.
