US President Joe Biden lands in Saudi Arabia on Friday afternoon, Swedish time. According to reports, Biden will meet the king, Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, to discuss oil production.
Biden has previously had a very critical and harsh tone towards Saudi Arabia after the journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in 2018.
The high petrol prices are rumored to be what made the president choose to go to Saudi Arabia. However, the trip has been criticized from both the right and the left, and has no major roots among the American people.
